When do you start your business?
The most common question for all entrepreneurs before starting a business is when should I start a business or when should I start a business? See, as simple as this question is, its answer is more difficult. Starting a business is often a significant milestone in one’s life, marked by ambition, determination, and a vision for success. The decision to embark on this journey can stem from various factors, such as a passion for a particular industry, a desire for financial independence, or identifying an unmet need in the market.
For entrepreneurs, the decision to start a business may have been brewing for years before it came to fruition. It often begins with an idea or a realization of a gap in the market that sparks inspiration. This initial spark can lead to extensive research, planning, and preparation, laying the foundation for a successful venture.
Entrepreneurs may spend months or even years refining their business concept, conducting market analysis, identifying target audiences, and developing a strategic roadmap.
Now, you spend night after night, day after day, month after month, and year after year on product research, customer research, and market research, but can’t get started. All your research and hard work will be in vain.
Before I go into detailed discussion, let me share a small experience. I had a dream that I would have a medium-sized business. But I spent about 10 years thinking about whether to have a business or start a business. It took so much time because I was working in a private company. During work, I used to research products, research about customers, and research about markets. I read many kinds of business-related books and listened to podcasts of successful people. There were many institutes where I did training courses on learning business, and thus my 10 years passed.
Once I had a serious road accident while going out for my office work. It made me very sick and cost me a lot of money for better treatment. And I could not go to the office for almost 3 months. As a result, the private company I worked for did not pay my salary for 2 months, during the three months I was not able to go to the office and my salary was stopped.
On one hand, I am sick and need money for my treatment, on the other hand, my salary has stopped…! I fell into extreme mental agony. Some days passed like this. When I felt a little better, I joined my office and started working and got my salary again as before. But this time I started trying hard and soul what business can be done along with the job. Finally, I started a business with a quick decision within a month, which I did not dare to do in the last 10 years. After analyzing the judgment from the previous researches I started the e-commerce business.
